Contact G-Prep

Email app-support@g-prep.co.jp in English. Tell us which app you use, its version, your device model and operating system version, and what happened. For Mac questions, include your Mac model and macOS version. A short description of the steps helps us reproduce a problem.

Do not send your Apple Account password, payment details, or confidential study notes. If you attach a screenshot, remove personal information first.

Pronunciation is silent

  1. Raise the media volume and check whether audio is playing through headphones or another Bluetooth device.
  2. In Wordbook Settings, try the other English voice and a comfortable speed.
  3. Stop playback and try again after another app or audio interruption ends.
  4. English speech depends on the voices installed on your device. If an English voice is unavailable, connect to the internet and check the device’s speech voice settings. Download availability and names depend on the iOS or macOS version.

The text definitions and examples are available offline. A previously installed English voice can be used offline; an additional voice download requires a connection.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a dictionary or an account?

No. The app includes English definitions and examples. Basic study does not require an account or a separate dictionary download.

How do Quiz and Review work?

Start with Today → Quiz to answer up to 20 contextual four-choice questions using new and familiar words. A word is recorded as studied only when you tap Check answer for its question. Today → Review then offers Random and Scheduled modes for previously studied words in your selected scope. Scheduled also includes studied words that have no schedule yet. A fresh profile has 0 Review words, so use Quiz or Browse first. Both Review and Quiz offer Levels 1–3 and a separate Math terms option. GRE mathematics includes geometry; GMAT mathematics excludes geometry terms.

Why does a word return for review?

Your recall rating changes its next review date. Again brings it back soon; Hard gives it a shorter interval than Good or Easy. Use Again when you could not remember the meaning, even if it looks familiar once revealed.

Are these the older Wordbook apps?

These are separate new products. Purchases, reviews, and learning data from older Wordbook apps do not automatically transfer. The older apps and their local data are not changed by installing these products.

Does progress sync between devices?

No automatic Wordbook sync is provided. Your learning progress is stored locally on the device. The two apps keep separate progress. Use Settings → Export progress, save or copy the file yourself with Files, Finder, AirDrop, or another location you control, then use Import progress in the same Wordbook app. Review the preview before replacing the destination profile. This is a manual backup and restore, not a live sync.

Can I change the appearance?

Yes. In Settings → Appearance, choose System, Light, or Dark. The choice is retained when you next open the app.

Can I report a definition or example?

Please email the app name, the word, the sense or example, and your suggested correction. We review content reports as part of maintaining the vocabulary.

Saved progress cannot be opened

If the app reports damaged progress, keep the existing file and contact support. If you have a valid backup from the same Wordbook app, use Settings → Import progress and review its preview before replacing the active profile. Starting fresh or resetting is a deliberate deletion of the active study profile; it is not required for a normal app update.

App Store purchases

Apple manages payment, purchase history, downloads, and refund requests. Use the Apple Account that made the purchase when downloading an app again.
